Experience the taste of the Belle Époque with this 1800's style organic absinthe botanical kit. Sweeter and more approachable than traditional 1700's recipes, The Green Hour balances aniseed and fennel with a delicate hint of wormwood for a smooth, complex finish.
Each kit contains certified organic or wild harvested botanicals, thoughtfully measured and separated into three packs ready for small batch distilling. Perfect for use with an Air Still. If you're doing a 250g batch, we recommend using the botanical basket as a barrier to stop particles getting into your condenser.
Whether you're crafting your first absinthe or adding a new recipe to your repertoire, this kit gives you a trusted starting point with room to make it your own.
Acknowledgements: This 1800's style recipe is adapted from the historical research of Alan Bishop, generously brought to life online by Jesse @StillIt on YouTube. A heartfelt thanks to both for keeping the flame alive.
⚠️ Disclaimer: In Australia, it is illegal to distil alcohol at home without the appropriate licence. This kit is sold for legal use only. Please check your local regulations before distilling.
